Reklaim Technologies

Reklaim Technologies prototype processing plant in Boardman, Oregon provides an innovative solution to improve our environment and recapture energy resources. The process recovers highly valuable materials and energy from discarded tires—turning a threatening environmental risk into clean energy.

Reklaim’s solution recovers materials such as carbon, steel and oil. The carbon can be used to produce printer inks, plastic and rubber products. The steel can be re-used in cans, cars and construction and the oil can be used to manufacture new tires, fuel large boilers and run large diesel generators that produce electricity.

Electrix has been involved from the ground up to install all electrical components for the processing facility. This includes Instrumentation, Power Distribution, Utility Input, Fire Alarm system, Multiple Generator Emergency Back-up systems, and Multiple UPS Systems. This facility is a prototype with a multi-faceted electrical installation including various integrated systems that are state of the art, used in a unique fashion for a refinement process.
